Friday, September 18, 2009 was a special night at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Those in attendance were treated to a Hank William’s inspired on stage wedding. Lucinda Williams married Twin Cities native Tom Overby after a wonderfully crafted 2 hour set, where Lucinda walked us song by song through her career culminating with a Hank Williams written love song, yet to be released. What an honor to see her concert and ceremony. Here are a few images of the night.
Lucinda’s father arrives on stage to read a poem he wrote for Lucinda when she was seven. Ceremony begins.

Julia.
Great to see you and Glen. While we were enjoying the show, you were working! Wow, nice shots. She sang, what 20 great songs, and still didn’t play 9 of my top 10 favorites. This speaks to the depth of her catalog. Best song of the night, “Real Live, Bleeding Fingers”. What a scorcher, she tore the place up.
By the way she looked happy and healthy. All good news and good for her.
Thanks.
Mike
